Blades loose

i have a 20 hp 46 inch cut MTD Yard Machine i was cutting yesterday and the blade nearest the grass shoot was loose ,spinning the other two blades were still tight and working off the belt but the other one was not turning when the blades were engaged can anyone tell me what happened ?

Well did u check and make sure the blade was secured to the spindle and the belt is on the spindle as well?

Lol, I hear yea, I tried! Sounds pretty dangerous I must say! An that's if he's saying what I think he meant!

Freeze, Are you aware of the torqueing required of the blade retaining bolts? Mine is 45-55 ft lbs.
Also mine are "indexed" (fit onto a seat which must be observed) before tightening.

That's what I was thinking! Sounds like that's the issue

No! Not the wrong site. There is a wealth of knowledge here with over a thousand "combined" years of experience, but you must remember paitience. We all have a life and we all don't stay glued to the computer waiting for you to post a question, much less answer it. Good luck and be careful! If that blade should come off, it could cause serious damage/injury
