If the seat is pushed all the way forward, it will make the seat switch harder to stay engaged on rough ground. I had a rider in the shop a few years back, that the customer had the seat all the way forward, due to her height, and complained the deck kept shutting off. I couldn't keep the pto engaged driving across my yard, and I am over 200 pounds. Moved the seat back and never had another problem.
