Black & Decker electric Cordless Doesn't start, need help

Hello,

My 1 year old Black & Decker Electric 36V cordless stop working. The battery is fully charge but it would not start. Any ideas on what's causing it?

Is there corrosion on the battery? test the switch with a volt meter. Are the cords split?
