I have a Yard Man model 11A-A18M055 push mower. It has a Briggs and Stratton 158 cc 550 series engine.
I installed a new carburetor a year or so ago, and it started and ran fine.
Trying to start it using now, using primer bulb as is normal, it won't start.
If I remove the air cleaner, clean the foam insert with gasoline, and replace the air cleaner, It starts almost every time first pull, and runs fine. (without using the primer bulb)
Fresh fuel in tank, so probably not an issue. Failed choke...do you mean because the primer bulb doesn't effect a start, the gas vapors from a newly cleaned air filter element will be enough to get the engine running?
Any idea in what I should examine/replace for a failed choke (meaning primer bulb)?
