Should I check the hydrostatic transmission fluid in my grasshopper with the mower hot or cold?

When cold & hot just like you check engine oil level before each use & after mowing. Preventive maintenance, always stay on top of it.

Yes. I ok how to check the oil the transmission fluid level was my question. Ther are 2 lines on the dipstick. I'm thinking the bottom line is cold and the top hot but I'm not sure

You should allow the hydrostatic transmission fluid to cool down, and check the oil level when the oil is cold. If you have an expansion reservoir as some units do you can check the level there at he cold line.
