Big box atore timecutter 42inch trouble

Hello all newbie here!
I mow our 2 acres with a toro timecutter 42 and no trouble for 3 years. I mow for half hour then let her rest an hour while weedeating... then mow the rest. Ended up hitting a stump and bent the deck and broke blades off the not deck!!
On a budget beat the deck straight removed the blades and spindles and welded it back true to shape. Upon replacing blades it appears only 1 is mowing while the other isnt???? Not certain of the inter workings of z.ts but since the clutch works and one blade mows could it just be one seized spindle?? The mower does run rough now and dies sporadically!
Any help appreciated thanks!

Couple of things come to mind very quickly. One, belt routed correctly? Brake on both spindles releasing properly? Non turning blade spinning freely when brake is off? Pulleys alignment correct?

My Toro doesn't have a brake on the spindle. The brake is in the clutch. If one spindle was froze up and not turning. You would know it as soon as you turn the deck on. My guess is you have a free spinning blade.

Since broke a blade it is a good chance that you loosen a pulley of the none mowing blade side, When these are stripped and loosen the pulley spins but will not drive the spindle and blade.
