old mower needs replacing. 3 trips to the repair shop and it's just one thing after the other. the body itself is in pretty bad shape anyway, so I'd rather just get something new now.

Was eying this:

Costco - Poulan Proョ 190 cc Briggs & Stratton Engine 21 in. Cutting Deck 3-in-1 Push Mower

Note the .ca; I'm in Canada, so less stores up here.:)

$250 (shipped) for a 21", push, 190cc Briggs & Straton. Aside from a few deals I missed from Sears Outlet, I haven't seen similar power without self-propelled (not suited to my yard) for less money. And if it needs to be returned, Costco makes that easy. I don't want to go smaller than 190cc, since my current mower already has that and still likes to stall itself on "long", wet grass. There aren't any reasonably priced mowers with a 190cc Honda engine?

ANyone know of a better deal or if I should wait longer into fall for potentially better deals?

I'm from Canada. I've had the same version mower for 3 years. I paid $299 on sale at Sears. It has been very good so far with one exception, the plastic wheels need to be replaced. My yard requires a lot of turning, up and down and good manuverability.
It is a good buy.

I have essentially the same mower already, but the Craftsman version. I've had it 9 years and it's held up well enough, although mine too has wheel issues. I don't mind buying it again, especially for less than I paid the first time ($300 or so in 2003 dollars). Just wondering if I can get something as good or better for less.

The yellow and black color scheme also makes it one of the ugliest mower I've ever seen, although I guess that shouldn't be a factor.:)
