Well I have my new Scag Tiger Cat and I'm very proud of it.

I see the best method to remove blades as they loosen from the top is to raise the deck. Looks like the spindles can be greased from the bottom of the deck as well. What tools do I need to do this safely? My old CC I would remove the deck to work on it. I will only need to do this once a year as I'm just mowing 2.5 acres. Low cost options would be appreciated.

Thanks

We run two Tiger Cats. Change blades daily on both normally. We use a small floor jack under front of deck and a 19 volt Craftsman impact. Does an excellent job.

The grease fittings are on top of deck. One of our mowers has 400 hours on it. We have not even changed a belt. Had no reason to pull deck out from under mower.

I use the MoJack lift. I lift a Toro Z Master and Toro Grandstand. Works great. $199.00 reg price but you can get them cheaper if you watch for them to go on sale. Can buy them a HD, TSC, Amazon etc.

i just use a pulley/winch system and thick rope and tie one end to my ROPS bar and the other to my trailer or hitch and tip the mower back till the rear touches the ground. works great and i can reach under to pressure wash under the deck and change blades out. cost about $20-30 total and has a 800lbs working load limit so its pleanty for holding the maybe 100-200lbs or so max force it takes to tip my 60" commercial kubota mower back. kinda redneck but it works just fine and i can do this easily while the mower is on the trailer. plus there's not much to it so u dont have anything bulking taking up space in the garage.
