Hello all,

I recently bought a zero turn..
Its extremely cold in my area, down to -15-20 degrees below zero ferienhieght at night..
A few days after hustler sport was delivered, driven, and stored in the barn I found the battery to be dead..
I jumped the 12 volt battery with my 4-runner and performed a full service on the machine..
I then brought the battery indoors and hooked it up to a 750 MA charger/trickle charger..
The automatic charger (battery tender jr.) Remained in the initial charging cycle for atleast 5 days, failing to reach the next stage of charging (80% charged)..
Additional info..the battery amperage is not marked and the mower would start easily on its own after inital jump-start

Any ideas would be apreciated..thanks

Your battery has at least one bad cell, maybe more. Take it back and have them install a new one. Make sure that it is rated a minimum of 375 CCA.

If the battery died, it will never be the same. In your case, it likely froze as well.

Time for a new one.
