BADBOY 2009 Lightning need help to keep running

BADBOY Lightning 2009. about 30 hours on the mower.

Here is my latest updates:
Seat switch, PTO, ignition switch and all 4 relays removed cleaned and tested. All good and working.
Seat switch tested ...good. (you can even hear it clicking when engaged and disengaged)
PTO switch tested .. good (you can even hear it clicking when engaged and disengaged)

Mower started and ran several times for short intervals. finally got it running for a couple minutes never good enough to engage the PTO , mostly had to have the choke full or half to keep it running. Only ran about 1/2 or 2/3 speed. Finally would not start until it sat with the ignition on (you can hear what seems to be the fuel pump running) for a minute or so. Then it would start and run poorly again. never good enough to even get it put of the garage to be able to have room to work it very well.
I looked at the fuel filter but of course you can't tell anything by looking. I am trying to locate the fuel shut of valve so that I can change the fuel filter but can not find one. Can't find one in the manual either (really poor manual).
Called Badboy and emailed them again and never get any replies.

Any and all advise or comments are appreciated, I am mid 70 years old and limited in my physical (and probably mental) abilities) but am really needing to get this thing running. Thanks again.

Carburetor most likely needs to be cleaned. Fuel pump works off of pulses from the engine when starting and running. Find a small local shop to help if you cannot remove, thoroughly clean, and put the carburetor back on. Also drain old fuel completely and blow out tank.

Thank you, I have drained and cleaned the carb and fuel tank, replaced the fuel pump, (the new one was worse than the original pump (another eBay scammer piece of ...) so I put old one back on,

Update, it the mower will now start and run but only at 2/3 throttle and with about 1/3 or 1/2 choke.
More throttle and or choke and it dies.
not good enough to engage the blades or mow, so I am still In need of assistance.

This has apparently been going on trying to fix the problem for six months. Time to throw in the towel and take it to a shop in my opinion.

I agree but I am 85 plus miles from a dealer and don't have a trailer.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Using your engine model & serial #’s order a carburetor rebuild kit or new carburetor.

Yes I understand that. Where to order. I have received so many bad parts and other items lately.

Check on Amazon or EBay. Many people on here say how bad the parts are, in particular the carburetors. I buy many parts, and in particular carburetors, and have great success and results and no come backs. Do your research, don’t order the first carburetor you see, and check the reviews.

I give technical advice on this website & have been doing so for several years. I am in my 70's & enjoy helping folks as best I am able. If you are having a problem with your mower or engine please provide engine make, year, model & serial #'s. If you choose not to provide information needed to help us help you, your mower may be sitting another six months. thanks, Mark

The problem could be related to the fuel supply, especially if the mower only runs with the choke on. Check the carburetor to see if it is dirty or blocked, and consider changing the fuel filter even if it does not appear clogged. The fuel shut-off valve is usually between the tank and the carburetor, so follow the fuel line to locate it. Cleaning the carburetor or changing the filter could solve the problem.
