I have a newly acquired 2014 60" ZT Elite that seems to drain the battery when it runs. It will start right up cold but after I use it for a while and shut it off, it will not turn over. I then have to charge the battery to get it to start. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

First check the engine is actually charging the battery with the PTO off. Then check with the PTO electric clutch on. Either the engine charging system is not working or the electric PTO clutch is partially shorted.

We also need the actual model number on the mower; and the make, model, and spec numbers of the engine.

Okay that particular engine's voltage regulator I have been seeing a lot failures in the last 3 years. It should have about 45V AC across the outside terminal with the engine running at 3600 rpms. If present and you are not 13-14.5 volts DC out on the center terminal then the regulator is shot and needs replacing.
