Got a 2016 B23i that the fuel pump went bad in at the beginning of the season. It ran flawless last season.
So I cut the grass once before it started acting up, then the next time I went to use it , it would not start just turned over.
Managed to get a thin piece of wood between the frame and engine and gave the pump housing a few taps, turned on the key and heard the pump spin up and it cranked and ran for a little while till the pump gave up the ghost for good.
Bought a $100 fuel pump assy from Amazon got it on and things seemed good for the last few cuts till yesterday now its starting to drop out and have issues again.
If you bring it back to idle it will only run 10-15 seconds before it dies too.
Is it time to just bite the bullet and order the $230 Kohler pump assembly or could it be something else?
Anyone ever thought of just putting a pump directly in the tank like most other fuel injected engines? (like my Yamaha gas golf cart)
