B&S fuel punp #808656

Greetings!

B@S replacement fuel pump had a note in box, says if original FP was metal, the pulse line must be replaced.
Reason for this ?

If I remember correctly the metal pump and plastic pump have different orientations of the pulse line nipple, therefore the pulse line for the metal pump is too short to reach the nipple on the plastic pump.
