B$S burning oil white/blue smoke

Kid and his buddy decided my lawnmower wasn't running right so they took it apart this past winter and made an adjustment to correct a timing issue???? I wasn't having problems before they did this. It still runs fine except it uses approx 6 ounces of oil every tank of gas. If the mower gets tilted with muffler down, it blows white/blue smoke. Heavier the tilt the heavier the smoke. Can anyone tell me what they didn't put back together correctly? Seals or other components?

Model info for the engine would help the people around here to answer your question.

I am assuming this is a push mower. How does the mower run besides the smoke?

Sorry I'll supply the model number tomorrow. Too late to get out in the shed. But yes it is a pushmower and it runs fine besides the oil issue.

Do you have too much oil in it...?

Model #: 10T502
Oil level is good and checked before each use. Have to because it's always down 4-6 ounce every time.

Breather tube between carb and breather snapped off at breather. I believe that just may fix my problem. Thanks for you help. B33p3r
