B&S 6.75 (2005)

I came across a B&S 6.75 on a Troy Built mower (2005)? The carb attaches to a plate that bolts to the engine on one end and to the engine shroud on the other end. Unfortunately I can’t figure out how it attaches to the engine shroud. There a hole on the shroud where it appears to attach but it’s not a screw hole. Any ideas?
