Blowing out black smoke from my 20 year old Timecutter-Z. Bought new in 2003. This is the ring set part number from the original parts list from Form Number 3329-251 Rev C.

Cannot find a replacement for this part number on the inter-webs.

That is a valid part number for your standard rings, but Briggs is showing a backorder on those rings. But the black smoke tells me that the choke is stuck shut on your carb. They will warp, swell the plastic shaft causing it to not open when the choke is release.

Thanks, for the response, IL. I recently rebuilt the original carb https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008TSVEF0?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. I'll take a look for a stuck choke.

Choke was moving freely. But going off the choke suggestion, I suspected a stuck float. Nope, turns out the main jet had backed out and was sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Fuel was dumping into the intake.
