I am working through some problems with this mower. GVC 160A Replaced carb (OEM Honda -315) and needle valve would not shut off the fuel into carb. I put in a different float with an adjustable float level. Now the mower seems to run fine until you shut it off. After warm-up and shut the mower off you can not restart the mower. It seems to run fine until you stop the engine and then try to restart. The choke is warming up and holding the choke plate open.
I am not confident that the magneto is firing the spark plug all the time. It seems intermittent but it is hard to crank the engine, keep the plug grounded and observe the spark plug firing.
With the engine warm does the choke plate need to be partially closed for a rich mixture until the RPM's come up to speed?
Or would the magneto fail when warm?
