attaching quick connect snow blade

I have a 77T model lawn tractor from 2007. The manual indicates part oem-190-833 is the right blade for this device, and past parts points to this as the correct part.
I have the quick disconnect brackets - I tried installing the frame brackets, but couldn't determine where they align. I called MTD, and they told me this mower didn't need the frame brackets.

I attached the shoulder bolt to the bracket for the hood - it works for the right side, but the muffler gets in the way on the left - any suggestions?

a photo would help

Maybe you could post some pictures to see what you are dealing with.

I added some pictures - If I could install the bracket it would work (first picture), but the holes don't align, and when calling, MTD said the brackets weren't necessary.

I attached the shoulder bolt, it can fit on the right side (3rd picture - I can deal without the heat shield) , but the muffler gets in the way on the left (2nd picture).

Sears has a 42" dozer blade which is closer to the original OEM-190-833. Using the Sears model 486.244412 LH and RH quick connect hitch brackets (27352 and 27353 see photo of RH bracket), they will be out of the way of the exhaust/muffler. if you already have a sears dozer blade, then you would need the following to convert to a Troy-Bilt tractor with quick attachment feature: 2 - 40005, quick connect pins, 2 - 3/16 x 1" roll pins, 2 springs, the left and right hitch brackets, and 2 angle brace supports - 25647. you will need som 3/8 bolts, nuts and washers to attach the plates and supports, and it should work great.
