I recently bought an Atco b14 lawnmower which the previous owner claimed had been stood around for 12 months and was running last year but having looked at the rust on the blades I would suspect its been idle for much longer!
I paid next to nothing for it so not too bothered about that - just want to get the little fella started and cutting the grass! Fitted a new spark plug and cleaned the old one which didn't look too bad, made a new filter as the original just crumbled up when I took it out, also had to replace the leaking fuel tap so I know fuel is getting to the carb but the mower just wont fire up?
The pull cord works and the engine turns over ok but I'm hoping its something simple
If you much more knowledgeble chaps can shed some light on this or any obvious things I'm missing please let me know before I start taking the carb apart and all the other bits around the engine.

More than likely will be no spark caused by a faulty Y pack coil.
Need to check for spark with spark tester.
Could be carb problem.
Is it a delorto or tillotson carb? If tillotson then no parts made for this carb anymore.
Delorto you might still get.
Parts are getting hard to get for these things these days and the commodore wasnt the best cylinder machine ever made.
