Ariens wont run.

I have a Ariens 17.5 hp rider. My wife was mowing and "knicked" a tree causing the mower to instantly die. Cannot get it restarted. Help?

If the engine will turn over fine but won't start the flywheel key has most likely sheared which is throwing off the timing. You'll need to remove the engine shroud and flywheel nut to see if the key is sheared, It is easiest to remove the flywheel nut with an impact wrench if you have one. Once you get that resolved, check your blades to see if one of them may be bent and in need of replacement. Good luck!
