Ariens Kill Switch problems

I just bought a new 19 hp Ariens riding mower. Suddenly it stopped and would start. I disconnected the kill switch under the seat and reconnected it and it started. This happened again.
It seems a bit more complicated than just on or off as it seems to also effect the clutch kill switch so it dies when you engage the blades. How simple would it be to bypass this?

Thanks,
Bob

Please don't bypass the safety systems, just have the dealer check it over for proper operation. This is a warranty and safety problem, which they should fix quickly.

I've yet to see one of these safety feachers that don't make using the tool more difficult. Sure - they stop morons from hurting themselves and suing the company. My dealer is Home Depot which is 35 miles away and wouldn't be able to do anything any way.

If you are telling me you purchased a new piece of equipment, and don't want to take it to an authorized shop to do warranty work, but want to by-pass safety switches to solve it, I'm out of this thread. Sorry, but this will come back to kick mybutt if I get involved. Good luck.
