Hi everyone, i'm a 16 year old who recently purchased an Ariens 1028 riding mower to try earn more pocket money by mowing people's lawn.
According to the previous owner, the mower has been sitting for a while and it wasn't running when I purchased it. I replaced the battery and am in the process of replacing the solenoid to get it up and running and I forgot to take pictures prior to uninstallation (lessons learned).
I'm seeking your expert guidance to tell me how to attach the wiring back to it's place. All I know is #1 is the cable to the starter and #4 is the cable to the battery.
Can someone assist and tell me which post each of the cables need to go to?
- I believe #2 Is ground cable?
- I believe #3 needs to be attached to the post along with cable #4?
- Does cable #4 goes to the positive or negative side of the battery?

Remove and unplug the keyswitch, and take a picture of the posts on the back of it. Also take a pic of the plug so we can see the colors of the wires.
The keyswitch should have letters designating what each wire goes to.
Put the pics up on the main thread, and it should be fairly easy.
