Happened to be lurking around the "interwebz" hunting for information concerning a Husqvarna 2654 that I purchased [used- somebody else's problem, I suppose] when I came across this wonderful little patch of well-manicured green!

Nothing to add at the moment- other than I'm [relatively] handy with tools but have "The Taint of Death" when it comes to lawn mowers- seems like I can't buy anything reliable without it having crappy cutting, bad mower decks, about to go out of business [Murray comes to mind] blown engines and a wife that "wants to help" but comes to me with what used to be a permanently attached piece of the mower in her hand...

Case in point- I just got through putting a new drive belt on this mower [again- the Husq.] and the freakin' welded guide pulley sheared off! Now I'll have to [most likely] cannibalize a pulley off the "Frankenmower" [Murray- long story- I promise to share in a few "daze"...] and fashion some kind of work-around for the damned thing to keep from chewing the drive belt off...

Like I said- I've got "The Taint of Death" for all things "Lawn Maintenance"...

1- worst turning radius I've ever seen on a lawn tractor
2- worst electric clutch wiring set-up I've ever witnessed
3- parts look-up has changed 3 times now, so cross referencing has become a science
4- many items that should be replaceable are in fact welded on & irreplaceable without modification...

But, gosh-darn-it; when it runs it actually runs well... :confused2:

Trading, unfortunately, is a luxury I do not have- both time & money keep me stuck to this as I purchased it in order to replace the Murray that s**t-the*bed... I bought the Murray brand new in '04 for $500- fast forward to 2012 and i purchased what is basically a lawn tractor double the size for $500... I'll openly admit- times are tight and as a "beggar" I couldn't be too choosey...

i understand that i wouldn't have traded if i hadn't got such a good deal on a used Exmark I dint like mine cause it was jerky on turns had no traction what so ever and wouldn't hold on a hill if it had to

Well I know that husqvarna might have some issues on some stuff. But mine has a dam fine cupholder. So I always have a place to put my beer when I'm working on it. :drink:
