First time poster, been lurking for many years, really appreciate all the work you guys do to help everyone.
I have a Agra-Fab model 45–0299, which is a tow behind 48 inch aerator.
I need 8 pieces of this part agri-fab number 741-0493a which is a split plastic bearing, a very small mass produced part which goes anywhere from $3.25 up to $13.00 plus shipping. It’s a wear part that goes on the shaft that the aerators rotate around. It’s not very well designed and just destroys itself very quickly. I am wondering does anyone have a source for this part or an upgraded part may be a sintered bronze bushing that might be available for a more reasonable price. This seemed to be the most valid forum for this post.
Thanks in advance, MIchael

Might not be more reasonable price in one sense but if it is more durable then high cost might be worth it.
What they are a 3/4" but don't the mounting hole size or the length of the bushing. Can you post those specs? And you need to shorten the spacers.
Here is an example of a flange bushing. The one is about $1.50 ea plus shipping from Mcmasters. This might needs some machine to work.
STARTECH Wow thanks!! For the reply - instantly. Will have to tear it down for the dimensions. Just spoke with Kyle at igus motion plastics and he was incredibly helpful he’s sending me some samples and hopefully we will be good. This sort of help Is unheard of today!
Much appreciated

what is your time worth? Buy an extra 8 and you will be ready to go next season. Also, save the ones that aren't worn out and you have spares. They are probably split to make it easier to install them. I might use some graphite or dry Teflon on them to see if that helps them to live longer. Grease or oil is likely to trap dust and sand, and make a grinding paste.

Thanks for you help, I’m waiting on some unsplit plastic samples @ about .97 each. May go the sintered bronze route to not have maintenance issues in the future

oilite may pick up dirt and cause shaft wear. Just a guess.
