Phone your local Honda dealer they should be able to tell you. If they say they can’t ask when the warranty expired as they can tell you that and as the warranty is for one year you can figure out the age.

That model you have was the latest of hr215. Made from 1996-2005. Now to get a exact year will be tough. Honda doesn't do yearly model years. I only know those years because I have had lots of hondas. You would have to get a hold of honda and they could tell you when it was sold from HPE to the specific retailer and or who it wasn't originally registered to. Hope this helps.

Btw I have never gotten a straight answer on that the 2 letters after the serial number mean.
