I have a Briggs 407777-0128-E1 v-tech twin. I believe it has 24hp. Its build date is Aug 1999. Runs perfect except for:

I have put on a new carb and did the initial governor adjustment. The low idle is just fine. The high RPM is too high at just over 4000. My book does not have the best picture showing me which tang to bend and which way to bend it. I have the tang tool but I am worried about breaking something. It seems to take a lot of leverage to bend the tang I think is right. The only videos I can find just show the initial governor set up. Anyone know of a good video showing this or at least some good pictures showing the tang tool being used. Thanks for your help.

I checked out donnyboy73 and could not find a video on adjusting the speed after initial set up of governor. I did spend over an hour looking at some of his other videos. I added to my favorites, he is really good.

You should be able to do the job from the manual that Rivets has posted up for you.
