Add Electric Start to Briggs

I know it's a force fit, but hear me out..

Engine Serial: 1408295633665
Engine Model: 128M02-0133-F1
Mower Model: 20332
Mower Serial: 315016539

I have a little project that I am working on, and am trying to put the pieces together. One piece, is the start mechanism.

Currently, my Toro Recycler push mower is a pull start, which does not have teeth on the flywheel for an electric start. However after looking over the parts diagram for the given serial number, this Briggs *appears to have teeth, so maybe the electric start was an option at some point?

Either way, I found an electric start kit on Craigslist for $20 (starter, battery, battery-box, harness, ignition switch, and key). The problem is, even if I had the kit, I still don't have a compatible flywheel.

So the question is, without too much of a headache, would it be possible to swap out my flywheel with another Briggs version with teeth? I see a couple B&S engines for cheap on CL, but it's a toss up if the flywheel would fit or not.

Is there a rule of thumb, or anything like that which would indicate if the flywheel would be compatible. For example, "190cc B&s engines from year xxx to xxx would be compatible"

The easiest approach, if cost was not a factor, would be to go buy a used mower with an electric start. However, cost is a factor, so if I can pick up a starter kit for $20, and maybe a free flywheel from a blown engine, then it might be worth the time/effort. Compatibility being the main concern.

As you can probably tell, I am new to this, so bear with me.

Thanks!

Briggs and Stratton lists this for the electric start flywheel for your model, Briggs & Stratton 691987

Best way is to see if Briggs made an electric start for THAT engine. Check out the replacement parts schematic on YOUR engine. Then get those parts if made. Also check out YOUR Toro mower schematic looking for electric start info.

I'd first get in touch with the Craigslist seller, might have the flywheel and be willing to trade for yours if so.
