Honda gets their engines certified by the EPA and the California Air Resources Board. Road vehicles (cars, motorcycles) also get US Department of Transportation certifications.

Today, Honda gets an engine certified by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). :thumbsup:

Honda makes great engines! The GCV and GXV line are great. Start on first pull and aren't noisy. I didn't know they were into planes also.

I think I read Honda plans to build a complete airplane. Also some rumblings that quality has slipped a little. This following the passing of the 'ole man. I suppose the plane will sell to corporations.
