Craftsman 917.289272 (YT4000 ??) MFG in 2010. Upgraded front wheel bushings using bearing kit upgrade and added washer bearing also. But now steering control over front wheels has a problem where both front tires direction will suddenly turn just a bit left or right requiring constant steering wheel control to correct wheels to recover straight ahead travel. Have not found any internet reference to this steering topic. Hesitant to dismantle steering area itself. Any tips? Thanks very much for consideration.

Check the toe of the front wheels. A lot times one or both draglinks get bent from impact strikes.
