i recently purchased this 1979 club cadet 1450. it seems to be blowing the PTO fuse at about the 30/35 minute time period. i have a descent lot for town but nothing major , less then an acre and mostly flat , easy cutting.
ok, so the $ 1.50 for a pack of 5 fuses is nothing but this cant be something that is healthy for a mower and there has to be a root cause. I am not mechanically inclined, but the machine seems to be hot to touch and this is just the outer shell.
can something be making this machine too hot and then intern, blowing the fuse on the PTO? i replace the fuse 20 minutes later (i had to go buy more fuses) and the PTO/ blades fired right up .
and please if its bad news , please be gentle! haha
thanks for any help
