Hello, I recently purchased a 721D Grasshopper...mower starts, runs, and cuts great...The only problem is it will not shut off..The previous owner replaced the fuel solenoid but the problem still exists. He was shutting the mower off by idling down the throttle and engaging the pto...I however am not doing that. I will idle down the throttle and reach back and pull the solenoid arm to cut off the fuel..I want this fixed and need some helpful pointers..I quickly checked the fuses in the fuse panel and all fuses are fine...any help would be greatly appreciated!
I did look at the solenoid over the weekend and when I turn the ignition the solenoid pulls back and holds in place...the only thing I can think is that the return spring is to weak to pull the arm back to kill the fuel..
