I have an older 720K, SN-476000 range. It just quit while mowing the other day. After much diagnosis I believe that the culprit is the interlock module. Or more accurately, I believe that one of the diodes in the interlock board died? The engine will crank and catch but as soon as I release the key it dies. There is spark while cranking but obviously no spark once the starter is disengaged. The fuel solenoid is good. When I run 12v directly to the fuel solenoid I can hear it click. The engine will run when I remove the yellow wire from the chassis harness at the engine wire harness connector. The yellow wire normally connects to the white wire on the engine ignition system which grounds the CDI. Does anyone know exactly what diodes are being used or is there another fix for this problem?
