I have a Pro Z 154 with a deck belt that needs to be replaced. The parts list shows the P/N as 954-05013. When I search that P/N on cubcadet.com, I get two hits. One for that P/N, which shows as in stock, and one for 490-501-C094, which shows as the replacement for 954-05013, also in stock.
The description for 954-05013 is "V-Belt B Sec x 154"
The description for 490-501-C094 is "54-inch Z-Force Deck Belt"
What's the difference? Which one do I need? And why is the replaced part still available?
The engine is 27HP, and under heavy load, the belt slips... a lot. I suspect that's mostly due to an oil leak that probably got oil on the belt, but the belt also has a lot of nicks, so I want to replace it with the best belt that will slip the least. And yes, I plan on cleaning the pulleys first.
These belts are around $80, so I'd like to get the right one the first time.
