Mower deck 42" Deck on X300 hanger pins

Hello guys;

Does anyone know if the spring loaded J pins used on some 42" and 48" decks for the rear hanger would work in place of the drilled pins with the separate spring pins?
The deck I have is the 42C which has the drilled pins but I notice the 42M deck has similar, or identical mounts on the rear of that deck but with the J pins which stay on the deck when removed.
