Hi folks,
I'm working on this little push mower engine the exhaust valve was stuck open the motor is only a year old the stem was gummed up and the tappet box seem to have a lot of this yellowish gunk in it...is that actual grease lubrication ?
or is it the result of overfilling and a foamy incident how are the tappets actually lubricated thanks for any help

I suspect the yellow gunk is actually oil mixed with condensation(water)

It's not impossible for some fool to put grease in an engine, but 10:1 this is water.

Thanks a lot guys, I cleaned out the gunk, reassembled and she started and ran perfectly
