I love Honda stuff, so Only considering a Honda trimmer.....has to match with my Honda lawnmower, lol So I have dwindled the choice down to either the 25cc or 355cc VersAttach model. Main use will be to trim the grass and Edge it....so will be buying those 2 attachments right away. Not a huge yard...I think the whole lot is around 9000 sq ft..will take 10-15 to trim it.....and then edge it. Down the road may buy the pruner.......I guess my major question is...will the smaller 25cc be enough power to do all that? I just want to buy something that is going to last..and not kick myself down the road that I should have spent the extra $50 and got the 35cc...but I do not want to waste $$$ either. TY

Went with the 35cc...Will do a review when it arrives.

They are a fine trimmer. I went to the dealer with every intention of buying one but went home with a Stihl KM94r. The Honda was 4 lbs heavier and that makes a huge difference when your swinging a trimmer for two or three hours.

As much as I love my Honda stuff I am disappointed with the holes in their ope line for the USA. How do we not get the cool handheld leaf blower that every other market gets? Or the alloy deck mowers they sell in other markets...

Curious to see what your experience is. Nice trimmer and edger! I still want to love them and still look at them every time I'm at the dealer.

If I had a bigger yard, yes I would care about the weight......But trimming takes me like 10-15 min and not a lot to edge, lol Love my Honda lawnmower, so why not a trimmer!! used to be a Honda/Acura car guy..but love my Subaru now!!

Looking forward to the review. I think it is wise to go with the 35cc. Better too much than too little...

35 CC Honda Trimmer (Versattach. UMC435 ) REVIEW

Initial review. Ordered on Sunday....the last day of the Honda sale. Did I try/feel any other trimmers? Nope, lol I had been using my Ryobi battery operated weed whacker and it did an ok job at trimming..the edging portion of it was lacking....the wheel wobbled a great deal...and besides it is not a Honda! I have always had good luck with Honda products, so why change! So ordered on Sunday and the motor and 2 attachments..edger and trimmer arrived on Wednesday as promised. Found it odd that Honda coudn't afford to include oil for it....I know my 4 cycle makita leaf blower that was shipped came with oil! Not a huge issue..and from reading other reviews I knew it didnt come with it, so was prepared. The unit feels solid and has a nice feel to it. Put in the oil..gas..and it started up on the 2nd pull...didnt even want the choke on. Only attachment I have used thus far is the edge...very simple to attach and adjust the height. It felt a bit awkward at first using it..took a bit to find a comfortable position to hold it. It does edge very nice. Looks very professional and am very pleased with it. Will give the trimmer a go this weekend. I did not find it overly loud. 1 small issue....appears to be somewhat easy to accidently hit the "off" toggle. I accidently did that..without realizing it and then wondered if I had screwed something up when it suddenly stopped and would not start, lol "Did I no tput enough oil in..or too much" gas not getting to the motor?? nope, I accidently hit that toggle phewwwww!! Thus far very pleased with the purchase. Would I be happy with the smaller (and lighter) 25cc model, probably.

Utilized the hedger for the 2nd time...does a very nice job....and the trimmer attachment for the 1st time. Trimms with ease, no surprise there, but 1 issue I had was the feeding of the line....I have read reviews where others had the same issue....the line was not properly put in place at the factory.....so it doesnt feed properly. I hope thats the case...need to buy some new line and test my theory. Have read reviews where they say to buy a think it is a Stil (or was it an Echo) trimmer head....works great and holds much more line than the Honda head. There is a harness that comes with the trimmer..which may be useful if one was doing a lot of trimming..but thats not my case. So far very happy with the purchase
