I bought a 72" Rogue about 2 months ago. So far i have about 17 hours on the engine. After breaking a drive belt early on i realized i needed to check the belt tension each time before i mow. Every time i check the deck belt the tension is off. I've adjusted it to the point i have no threads left on the adjustment. Would i be better off switching to a Kevlar belt and what could make it stretch this much?

You would be better off taking it to the dealer because it is brand new and under warranty.
Drive belts should last for several years.

Beside the belt should be already a Kevlar (Aramid) belt. Polyester belts just don't hold when used on decks. And 5/8 x 205 Kevlar belt won't be cheap. Of course as a shop we source a good quality, lower cost belt. Even get burned a few times with poor quality belts.

And what cause the belt wear is for the dealer to figure out while it is under warranty. Belt might rubbing on something or a bearing failure.
