I know the Honda FI engine is new and a will have bugs to work out so hear us a fix I made. After making a turn with blades running the engine went to idle. The level was all the way open. No matter what I did with the lever it would only idle at 1430. Lifting the seat and wiggling the wiring in front of the engine made the engine rev slightly. So after some wire tracing I found that one of the three wires running from the throttle lever to the engine came undone. It was about three inches in front of the left side of the engine. They had bullet connectors with electrical tape wrapped around them. When I reconnected the wire it immediately revved to full throttle. Would it be smart to go through and heat shrink all of the wire connections like this?
2022 Honda gxv 800 no throttle response issue resolved.
