Late last year I purchased a super low hour X758 that already has the Air-Ride seat installed (bonus). I cut the lawn once last year, plowed the driveway all winter and but the lawn 7-8 times this year. My machine has been super reliable - starts every time and runs perfectly.
Last night after cutting the lawn, I took my leaf blower (as I always do), to blow off the lose clippings in on the mower deck. I typically hit all the surfaces with a bit of air to blow off the dust and clippings.
Then when I went to move the mower back into the garage, it started with the brake depressed, but as soon as I released the brake the tractor stalls, and two icons on the electronic dash start flashing. There is a red P with a circle around it that flashes when the tractor shuts off when I release the brake. There is also a stick figure in a seat that is flashing.
Unfortunately, I never got a manual with the tractor - so googling I believe this is the pressure sensor for the seat.
In my research, it looks like the air ride seat does not support the pressure switch. Mine seems to have a jumper/bypass loop with a purple wire.
I tried opening the connectors I could see. One had a little bit of dust in it - cleaned that out, and the tractor still stalls once I release the brake with the flashy icons on the dash.
Does anybody know if there are wires, I can trace for my setup? I didn't wash the tractor, so nothing got wet. I just blasted the clippings and dust off the mower. I didn't attempt to take the fenders off yet - maybe there is another connector under there that blew lose? I wanted to check first before I went through all the effort.
