I bought this used last year from a Toro dealer that had just serviced it. It was used (1) time to cut the grass and then my wife tried to start it and it would crank but not turn over. She followed the dealer procedure to start it. The starter got so hot it stuck and then melted wires and the battery terminal. It would steadily keep cranking even with key off or completely removed. I carried it back to the dealer who fixed it for free. He replaced wires and the starter. Today my wife went out to move it and this zero turn did the exact same thing again with exception of melting battery terminal. Tried to start it and it would turn over but not start. Starter stuck again and got hot melting wires again.

Anyone run into this and how did you fix it?

locate your serial number & then service manual, see troubleshooting section.

How many hours on mower? Did dealer adjust valves? What name brand engine do you have? Please post all numbers from engine.

Did you get it repaired correctly? Please let us know, thanks, Mark
