Good morning. I am new to the site. I was hoping I could find some help. I have a Troy Bilt Colt ZTR mower. The PTO clutch went out. I have been able to get everything off except the portion near the drive pulley. In essence the clutch was so shot it came apart in pieces. Likely due to leaving the mower at my two acre rent house for tenants to use. My question, is there something I need to do to specifically remove the rest of the PTO clutch without damaging the upper drive pulley? Or is it likely just seized on the shaft and therefore goibg to take extreme persuasion tactics. At this point I am almost ready to trash the mower and go buy a new one.
Most likely will need some penetrating oil, and some persuasion. May not take as much as you think, just getting a good hold on the clutch pieces will be the hard part.
