I just bought a Lazer Z HP used with something around 800 hours on it. One side is sluggish and has little power, the other side is great.
I've checked the bypass valves, and the pulley, hoping for a cheap fix, but I don't think that's the problem.
I notice that the left side is very responsive, but the right side, I must move the stick a large amount before it moves. On hills it sometimes doesn't have enough power even to get up on that side at full throttle, but it does seem to be loading the engine more than if I move the other stick the same amount.
I found out that the pump is a Hydro Gear BDP-10A, but I can't find any info on the wheel motor other than it's a 1 1/4" tapered shaft Parker/Ross. I'll probably try to rebuild whichever one is bad.
To me, this seems like it may be a wheel motor (since it loads the engine a lot), but while I"m a very handy guy, I'm fairly new to hydraulic systems.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
