Hello everybody, I am a new member and ran into a issue today and figured someone here may know the answer to my dilema. I have a 2006 Troy Bilt Super Bronco and the transaxle sounds like it has given up (loud grinding noise tryin to go forward). I looked on line and the old transaxle number was 618-04133B and from what I see that is discontinued and replaced with another 753-05851. But it said it was a single speed and I wasn't sure if that was accurate

Without know the model number of your mower I can't check your part number to be correct. Most MTD gear transmissions are single forward, and single reverse. The different speeds, are achieved through a two belt variable pulley system.

Dealer lookup shows 618-04034 superceding to 753-05851 so that is correct for your mower.
