right now the battery light is on and the mower starts and runs fine until the blades are engage and load is put on the system. The ignitor in the distributor has been replaced, coil, coil wire, plugs, battery, alternator, and the rectifier or voltage regulator have all been replaced. also if you turn the lights on it kills the mower. any ideas I'm all out and so is my local grasshopper dealer after $850 and mower still don't run properly

I know you said everything has been replaced but did you check to make sure everything is doing what it is supposed to?

With a fully charged battery will the deck run for a little while then die? or when you turn on your deck it dies instantly?

you can mow for thirty minutes or a couple hours depending on how well i charge the battery You can only mow slow because it bogs the mower down,

with the battery charged and the mower deck spinning how many volts are you showing at the battery? should be 14 to 15v at 5200 rpm

If you disconnect your Alternator wires use a volt meter set on AC you can measure AC voltage should be 20v + ac @ 5200 rpm
