2000 Watt Portable Generator

Its a 2010 gen. that I bough new. It ran well for a few years then the surging started. It would smooth out with half choke. Now it will only run when you put gas down the spark plug hole. But stops Is there a fuel pump on this unit. The knob that allows start/stop feels more that a electric shutoff. Is it possible that is a fuel vale also. It just seem like NO fuel is getting into the carb, but I can seel the fuel thru inlet line? I,m stumpe Is this carb able to be rebuilt? What is the part number for a kit and the carb assembly

Most likely a clogged carburetor that needs removed and cleaned.

I agree with sScrub’s answer given on 11/5/22, carb probably needs cleaning. Most times I’ve found that you can purchase a new carb cheaper that the time and cost of cleaning and rebuilding.
