My 2000 (model 10323) Silver Pro 6.5 HP is leaking fuel from the exhaust transfer pipe. The cover plate on the bottom of the deck is saturated and dripping fuel. I looked at a diagram and do not see any gaskets or o-rings. Any ideas?

float could be sunk in the carb, needle and seat could be bad or all three overhaul the carburetor and install a fuel shut off valve. when you are done using the mower turn the fuel off and run it dry.

Yes, the float needle and seat are bad. Simplest fix, just add enough gas to mow your lawn. Second simplest fix, add a fuel shutoff. Third option replace and the needle and seat and add the fuel shutoff (available at Meijers for a couple bucks).
