2000 series pto stops

i have ags2140 the power take off will just stop . then when i push the knob in then pull it back out it will run for a little while then stop again. it seems like the hotter the tractor gets the more often this occurs any idea where to start looking? thanks

sounds like your switch is going bad. what may be happening is when the curent runs through it, it is starting to overheat, thus killing the power. when you shut it off it cools down enough to start until it overheats again
