Repairs 1995 725 W/Kubota Engine (HELP)

My 725 has the 61" deck and I love it. Here is what has started to happen...
The left side tire is starting to lockup and becomes completely bound up where I can only go in circles. After a while it frees up and works fine, then starts to grab and soon locks up again. I took it in to my Grasshopper dealer and he charged me $600 for a repair and it didn't fix the problem.
It feels like the brake is coming on ? Help, a need a resolution w/o spending lots and lots more money.

What did the dealer tell you he did?

To tell you the truth it really sounds like a hydro problem, does the hydro fluid look dark or smell?

You might try draining the fluid and look for metallic in the oil or even cut open the filter looking for metal.
