Hello everyone from sunny friendly Manitoba.
I need help with how this slide choke works in conjunction with the linkage on the carb??
There does not seem to be a link from the jet which is a sprung coil type.
The model No. 255648 68.

Looks like you need to adjust the cable a tad farther out so that the metal tab will close the choke fully.

Thanks Fish I did that but it still needs about a 16th of an inch more the metal on the slide seems to be a bit lose. Can I put a piece of rubber tube on the round notch to bulk it out a bit??

These metal parts bend quite easily, they rebend good too. In fact, to adjust full rpms usually involves bending and making the spring have more tension, which you likely need to do here too.

Looks to me like the two (gears) have jumped one position. If you can get them back one tooth, you should be fine.

I'm coming in late on this thread and glad you sorted. Rivets and Fish know their stuff.

It's refreshing to see someone posting photos and clear information about the problem so the other members can help you more efficiently.
