I have a 1993 craftsman lawn tractor gt 6000 i have no deck my question is a 44 inch deck is what it is suspose to have but will a 42 or 46 work without a lot of modificaton. Thanks in advance..

need your model numbers .. look under the seat, hopefully its still there and readable ... see example ..

See your Owners guide below...... There are many models of Craftsman mowers and I couldn't possibly know which models came with which deck

YOU .. could look at the models here to see which had 44 in. decks (or other sizes ) but they don't say anything about interchangeability a really sharp dealer, or maybe even someone in our CRAFTSMAN forum might know........

There are many decks (used) out there, you would have to compare the P/Ns of each deck you're interested in to TRY to figure if they would fit your machine....... LOTS of searching the parts manuals.......... Sorry, I don't have the time to go into that.......
